The airport said that there was an aircraft fire on “an American Airlines plane” that was sitting at gate C38 on Thursday evening, producing “visible smoke,” Fox 31 Denver reported.
The blaze started around 6 p.m. local time, an airport spokesperson said.

The fire was extinguished and no one was harmed, the spokesperson said.
Passengers on board flight AA4012 appeared to be forced out onto the plane’s wing as they evacuated the aircraft and smoke billowed from the plane.
It wasn’t clear what started the fire.
